"Bukchon Hanok Village on a rainy, overcast Monday"

Just this single snap to share from Seoul State of Mind, and it's a detailed pic of Bukchon Hanok Villiage under overcast skies (a Monday, of course). There is something truly captivating about Korea's traditional architecture, and this photo just caught my eye and reminded me of my own rainy days in the Land of the Morning Calm.

"Yeomiji Botanical Garden"

This one's from Seoul State of Mind's recent archives where they visited the Yeomiji Botanical gardens in the stunning southern island of Jeju. Jeju is one place that I regrettably did not get a chance to visit, but if I did these beautiful gardens would have surely been a top priority!

"See Photos from the Early Days of the Korean War"

Back in June, TIME featured photos from the Korean War to mark the 65th anniversary of the outbreak of war. This piece specifically looks at America's involvement, but the impact and importance of what transpired affects all, least of all Korean citizens whose land was torn and bloodied in the conflict. "Though the impact of the war is still extremely palpable in North and South Korea–where the demilitarized zone divides an economic power from an impoverished, disconnected country-the Korean War is often referred to as a forgotten war in U.S. history, sandwiched as it is between World War II and the Vietnam War".
