The American University in Washington DC is currently running an exciting exhibition about North Korean art, the first of its kind in the US. The event focuses specifically on Chosonhwa (a North Korean painting medium) and "seeks to broaden understanding of North Korean art beyond stereotypes of propaganda and kitsch to show sophisticated and nuanced expressive achievements".
