Technically, you have to be a doctor in Korea if you want to stain skin for a living, but the country's underground tattoo industry houses some seriously talented artists who don't often get the limelight they deserve (especially inside their own country). "According to government sources, there are around 20,000 clandestine tattoo artists in South Korea. They are forced to work, metaphorically and often literally, underground". In this feature, Guillem Sartorio Teixidó explores some of the facts and history behind Korea's underground tattoo culture and hears from some of the artists themselves.
