The Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang are less than 100 days away now and that means The Land of the Morning Calm will soon see an influx of earnest travellers. In this 20-minutes feature on NBC, host Jonathan Bennett hits the slopes and streets and explores the many facets of modern Korean culture. "From Korean BBQ and tent bars, to hunter's parades and hanbok hotels, we're taking South Korea for all it's worth".

"Fans of 'Descendants of the Sun' camp at ex-military base"

K-drama tourism is nothing new, fans of Korea's small screens have long sought ways to connect with their favourite stars and screen moments by visiting the actual locations for themselves. A former US military base, from the popular drama "Descendants of the Sun" (2016, starring Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo), for example, is attracting more and more foreign tourists. According to The Korea Herald, "Around 1,400 tourists participate in the program every month. Among them, 95 percent are from Malaysia, Taiwan and China". Are you a K-drama fan? "3 VIRTUAL REALITY CAFES IN SEOUL TO IMMERSE YOURSELF AT"

"South Korea beyond Seoul: Fortress-hiking and food tripping in Suwon City"
