[HanCinema's Drama Review] "Cinderella and the Four Knights" Episode 6

Now that it has been established that Ha-won is an important person in the Kang family we get to see how the boys go out of their way to protect her when school-aged kids turn mean, and when jealousy incites terrible behavior. As of yet, the Kang cousins haven't yet gone head to head romantically, but a declaration from one of them makes such an occurrence a bit difficult. The perfect stuffs of K-drama.

The step-family has stepped in to meddle with Ha-won's life. Ha-won leaves Sky House because she believes that she failed her mission to bring all three cousins to their fathers' death anniversary. Alone and with nowhere to go, Hye-jin takes her in and learns that there is no romantic relationship between Ha-won and Hyun-min - a tentative friendship is formed that is quickly shattered. Why can't girls ever band together? Why must we be portrayed as fickle beings? In any case, the step-sister spreads vicious rumors about Ha-won who then has to suffer at the hands of a host of bullies. It is this situation that each Kang cousin hears about and rushes in to help. It is Ji-woon, who I believe to be the ultimate suitor, who fights for her decency and freedom, and Hyun-min who accidentally makes a public declaration of admiration. Anything can happen at this point, but the cards are on the table and it's up to Ha-won (and Hye-jin) to come to a few decisions.

Before all of the dramatics mentioned in the last paragraph, Seo-woo and Hyun-min join their mothers and CEO grandpa at the temple and it is here that we start to get a real gauge on family dynamics. In short, they are not good. Hyun-min's mom deserted him and seems to care more about his role as heir than about anything else. Seo-woo's mom, while jovial and always smiling, also has her eye on the monetary prize and weasels her way into the "heir" playing field.

I'm looking forward to the reintegration of Ha-won at Sky House with the new dynamics in friendship, romance, and brotherhood. Whether they like it or not, the Kang cousins are growing closer because of Ha-won and I, for one, really would love to see some bromance. And some good ol' romance. So now to wait until next Saturday...
