[HanCinema's News] Pyo Ye-jin's Career Hits High Point With "Moon in the Day"

With major roles in dramas like "Taxi Driver" and "Our Blooming Youth" Pyo Ye-jin has become a fairly recognizable actress. But she hasn't had much in the way of leading roles, the closest to that being her appearance in the evening soap opera "I Hate You But I Love You" back in 2017. That changed this week with the premiere of "Moon in the Day" on ENA, where she plays the explicit lead alongside Kim Young-dae in a story about memory and reincarnation.

Pyo Ye-jin hasn't become such a success overnight. Her career is filled with small, distinctive roles that earned her major plaudits from critics and viewers alike. In "Fight For My Way" she played a co-worker to the character played by Ahn Jae-hong, providing an unusual challenge to his own love story. Pyo Ye-jin had similar workplace dynamic based characters in "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim" and "VIP" to further bolster her reputation.

However, Pyo Ye-jin has shown strong range beyond just that kind of supporting character. "Taxi Driver" most obviously showed off her potential in more action-oriented situations. But more than range, Pyo Ye-jin has shown strong work ethic, despite a lack of 2022 credits, which is why she's already at work on "Dreaming of Cinde Fxxxing Rella" for TVING next year. "Moon in the Day" had ratings of 1.625% in its second episode on November 2nd.
