Hong Seok-cheon posted on his Twitter on the 9th, "Living in the Republic of Korea as a tiny population of gays could never have been tougher. Today is a hard day. Living in ridiculous misunderstanding and surveillance, I look at myself and think, 'what a sad life'. I can't even have decent loving for the reason that I 'came out'".

"I pity myself for being misunderstood and having my friends and family misunderstood because of me. I need to prove innocence. I am going to fight no matter how strong the other is. Even if it means I have to break. I am going to prove that I don't believe gays in this country should shut up and be treated like scum".

He continued, "You have no idea how frustrating it is to be treated like a criminal when I've done nothing wrong. I am yelling on behalf of the people like me. Even if it means I'll get hurt. I can't get to sleep tonight because of the thorns in my heart".

He ended with, "I hope the next leader of this country is someone who cares for the rights of the minor population. Just like the president of the United States, Obama. I am doing all I can as a Korean but I don't have the rights to live as happily as I want to so here's my complaint".

Netizen's who've read his Twitter commented, "What happened?", "Cheer up", "It sounds bad but don't care about those around you" and more.
