Jang Dong-gun Signs With Japanese Agency

Actor Jang Dong-gun, who starred in mega hit films such as Friend (Chingu) in 2001 and "Taegukgi": The Brotherhood of War' in 2004, has signed a management contract with Japanese Amuse Soft Entertainment to represent him in the island nation.

According to Jang's management company, Star M Entertainment, the Japanese company has been working on Jang's promotional activities early this month, having newly established the international division.

Ahead of releases of Jang's new movies The Promise (Muguk) and "The Typhoon" (Taepung) in Japan, the contract was made to build a foundation to systematically support Jang's promotional activities there, Star M said.

Star M added that Jang seeks to advance into the rest of Asia and the world with the release of the new films.

Amuse is participating in "The Typhoon'" as an investor, which will open at the end of this year.

Amuse has introduced to Japan South Korean movies such as "Shiri", "My Sassy Girl", " JSA - Joint Security Area", and "Silmido".
