Jung Hye-young comes back with "Gu Family Book"

Actress Jung Hye-young is coming back with a drama for the first time in 2 years and a half.

According to MBC, Jeong is returning to the screens with the upcoming MBC drama "Gu Family Book".

Jung Hye-young takes on the role of Cheon Soo-ryeon, a gisaeng in the House of Flowers. She is the head gisaeng with class and virtue. She is fair with all those below her and attempts to make art out of the gisaengs.

Cheon Soo-ryeon meets Seo-hwa who is sold to the House of Flowers because her family is framed as conspirators and her son Choi Kang-Chi (Lee Seung-gi). This is Jung Hye-young's first drama in 2 years and a half after the 2010 drama "Naughty Kiss".

Jeong claims, "I was a fan of writer Kang Eun-kyeong and director Sin Woo-cheol so I decided to star in it out of trust for them. I am excited to be in a role I haven't done before".

Meanwhile, "Gu Family Book" is about the struggle of Choi Kang-chi who is born half human and half beast to become a human. Lee Seung-gi takes on the role of Choi Kang-chi and Miss A's Bae Suzy is Dam Yeo-wool, a martial arts master.
