Kia's K5 Has Highest Residual Value Among Korean Mid-Sized Sedans

Kia's K5 sedan has the highest residual value among Korean mid-sized sedans. The residual value of a car refers to the value it retains over time.

Used car dealer SK Encar on Saturday released the comparison of residual values of 3-year-old mid-sized sedans manufactured by four automakers in Korea.

The K5 released in 2016 retains 65.4 percent of its original value at W16.18 million compared to W24.74 million for a new one (US$1=W1,196).

Hyundai's Sonata came second with 62.3 percent, followed by GM Korea's Malibu with 61.6 percent and Renault Samsung's SM6 with 59.7 percent.
