Kim Myung-min becomes a spy in new movie by "Man of Vendetta" director

Korean actor Kim Myung-min will be "Secret Agent Kim" in his new project tentatively titled "Spy". In this film, he will again collaborate with Woo Min Ho, director of his 2010 movie, "Man of Vendetta".

In an interview with Kim Myung Min International, the 39-year-old actor disclosed that his new character is called "Kim", a North Korean undercover agent who came to the South 10 years with his 3 teammates. While Kim is disguised as a businessman who sells fake viagra, he is a happily married man with a loving wife and two lovely children.

According to Kim Myung-min, "Spy" is a "mixed-genre" film encompassing drama, comedy, family, thriller, action (with a good dose of car scenes), among others. The actor added that he signed the contract two weeks ago.

"Spy" is currently in pre-production with the script being developed further in preparation for filming that is due to start on the last week of March or 1st of April. Investor and distributor Lotte Entertainment hopes to screen the movie before Chuseok this year. Casting is also ongoing.

In other news, Kim Myung-min finished filming disaster movie "Yeongasi" on 16 February. The 10 billion won movie tells about the outbreak of parasitic worms called "yeongasi" and a father's struggle to save his family from the life-threatening infection. Target release in Korean theaters is June 2012.
