Kim Sun-bin-II Cast in "Korea-Khitan War", First Historical Drama

Actor Kim Sun-bin-II will challenge the first historical drama.

"Kim Sun-bin-II was cast in the historical drama "Korea-Khitan War" (script Lee Jeong-woo-III, director Jeon Woo-seong and Kim Han-sol, production Monster Union and Viv Studios), a special plan for the 50th anniversary of KBS's public broadcasting, which is scheduled to premiere on November 11th", the agency said on the 31st.

"Korea-Khitan War" tells the story of Hyeonjong (Kim Dong-jun), the emperor of Goryeo, who brought Goryeo together with tolerance leadership and led the war against the Khitan to victory, and Gang Gam-chan (Choi Soo-jong), his political teacher and commander-in-chief of the Goryeo Army.

Earlier, Kim Dong-jun as Hyeonjong and Choi Soo-jong as Gang Gam-chan confirmed their appearance, while Kim Sun-bin-II plays Choi Choong to revitalize the drama. Choi Choong is a young official who supported King Hyeonjong by studying abroad, which can be said to be the first of studying abroad in Goryeo.

Expectations are high on how Kim Sun-bin-II, who is challenging his first historical drama, will act with Kim Dong-jun, who plays Hyeonjong.

Kim Sun-bin-II debuted through the 2020 web drama "Getting Off at Earth" and he has since then attracted attention for his impressive performances in the popular web drama "New Love Playlist" and KBS 2TV's "Drama Special 2022 - Prism". This year, following MBC's "Numbers" and JTBC's "The Good Bad Mother", he recently performed in ENA's "Not Others" and stood out as a rising newcomer.

Meanwhile, KBS 2TV's new epic "Korea-Khitan War" starring Kim Sun-bin-II, will air every Saturday and Sunday at 9:25 PM, starting with the first broadcast on November 11th.
