"Run South" is based on a Japanese original by Okuda Hideo. It is about an adolescent child who discovers his father's past and struggles to grow up.

Headliner Hae-gap is played by Kim Yun-seok and junior Man-deok by Kim Sung-kyun. Man-deok is a friend from back home who supports and follows Hae-gap.

Kim Sung-kyun doesn't seem all there on the outside but he is pure and loyal.

This is Kim Seong-gyoo's fourth movie including "Neighbors" and "God's Man" which is due to be released at the end of the year.

Movie "Run South" has been the talk of the issue for the fact that Oh Yeon-soo is starring in it for the first time in 14 years.

Kim Sung-kyun said, "I am honored to be working with director Yim Soon-rye and Kim Yun-seok. I am happy we got along well in the first shoot".

Meanwhile, Kim Sung-kyun will be out in public in August with "Neighbors".
