Kim Ye-won played a delinquent ("Sunny - 2010"), a Vietnamese girl ("Romance Town") and a girl dressed up as a boy ("All Shook Up" the musical). She's been leaving a deep impression with everything she stars in since her debut in 2008. She also took on the role of a bold daughter-in-law named Hong Mi-rae in the SBS drama "Only Love".

"Only Love" was a big deal. It claimed to be about family but it led to a more dramatic layout involving imprisonment and kidnapping. However, it was still a special time for the cast. Kim Ye-won learned a lot from her senior actors and actresses and met those she only dreamed of. Co-star Yoon Jong-hoon was a 'dependable and communicative kind of person' who clicked with her and her sense of humor' too.

"Yoon Jong-hoon and I were energy. We had to ventilate the heavy atmosphere so we made it fun. In the end, Mi-rae started appearing here and there. I had so many lines to memorize and I worked a lot with seniors so I was also tense. I was grateful when they would teach me a thing or two".

She's experienced the in-laws in the drama but marriage was not even close for the young actress. "I was who I was, but I didn't close myself in that small space called 'the in-laws'. Mi-rae is a lovable character. She had to confess a lie to her in-laws once, but I felt sad. I cried even after the camera was turned off".

Mi-rae was unruly but Kim Ye-won is actually feminine and calm. She thought carefully about her words before speaking. She said she gets told that a lot. She looks noisy but is actually the opposite. Sometimes that was a self-conscious thing for her.

"Even though I'm a quiet person, I'm clear about delivering my thoughts. Some say I say everything I need to quietly. They also trust my character because of "Sunny - 2010". It's interesting to create the details in the little frame they give me".

Kim Ye-won starred in 5 musicals last year. It must've been a tough year. She says she thought doing a lot of work was the answer but there was a limit.

"Work is important but I think there's need for personal time. I thought I was filling myself while working but I needed time for my own too whether that be traveling or learning".
