According to her agency, Lee Si-young stopped training and ended her boxing career in June 2015. She'd been training for the second national competition, but in the end, she has decided to quit boxing after 6 years.

The main cause for this decision was her habitual dislocation of her shoulder. She was injured in the 94th National Games in 2013. Her condition worsened so she gave up the next Games in 2014. She was speculated to be retiring from boxing because she only had 3 months left with Incheon City Hall. She also switched from being left handed to right handed to continue boxing, but her shoulder didn't improve. She'd been acting as well as boxing at the same time but eventually stopped training in June. That was when she was starring in the OCN drama "My Beautiful Bride". She hasn't been working out since then and only light work outs when she felt heavy.

Lee Si-young started boxing in 2010 when she starred in a boxing movie. She has been an amateur boxer until now.
