Actor and singer Jung Yong-hwa shared a short farewell message on his personal SNS.

On March 4th, Jung Yong-hwa posted a photo of him with a caption saying:
"Hey, everyone. I will be starting my military service tomorrow. I hope everyone will stay healthy and I'll be cheering on for all of your hopes and dreams to come true.
I'll be coming back safely, so don't worry about me! Meanwhile, I hope you will be surrounded by much happiness. Farewell just for a little while".
In the photo, Jung Yong-hwa is captured with a military standard short haircut and dressed casually. He will be starting his basic training On March 5th.
Recently, Jung Yong-hwa had been accused for a preferential treatment on his admission to a graduate school which brought a huge controversy among the netizens. The incident seemed to have calmed down a bit after Jung Yong-hwa's handwritten apology letter and his agency's response in investigating the matter thoroughly. After the incident, Jung Yong-hwa took a big hit in his friendly, good-man image in the media, but the fans are sticking by his side to support and defend him.
After the announcement of Jung Yong-hwa's enlistment, his Instagram is full of both native and international fans all commenting "Dear Yong-hwa, come back safely. We'll be waiting for you" in Korean with flower emoji.
