[Lily's Take] "Last Child" Invited to the Berlin International Film Festival

"Last Child" received an official invitation for the "Forum" section of the 68th Berlin International Film Festival, which will be held from February 15th to 17th. "Last Child" was first shown in the New Currents section of 2017 Busan International Film Festival, receiving high praises from the critics. New Currents is an international competition amongst the new movie directors across the world.

The Busan International Film Festival is a big event in the movie industry, but Berlin International Film Festival tops it as one of the three most iconic film festivals in the world along with Cannes Film Festival and Venice Film Festival. When the famous Berlin International Film Festival introduces the most precious gems they found from all over the world, the movies featured in the festival will instantly receive honor and attention. The "Forum" section is especially notable.
Berlin International Film Festival's Forum section curator, Anke Leweke, disclosed the reason behind the invitation saying, ""Last Child" maintains the serene atmosphere while providing a space for variety of emotions to explode, using visual elements orchestrated with such energy. Director Shin Dong-seok throws the question of revenge and repentance on a precisely crafted stage called nature".
"Last Child" has been sweeping many awards, including the FIPRESCI award and Top Excellence Award at Seoul Independent Film Festival, since the first viewing at the Busan International Film Festival and now its heading to Berlin to inspire and impress many more people.
