[Lily's Take] Xiumin Tells the Fans He Won't Accept Gifts in the Future

EXO's Xiumin shared his thoughts on materialistic gifts he receives from the fans.

On February 6^th, Xiumin shared a lengthy message on EXO's official fan club, EXO-L's website. In the message he shared, his thoughtful gesture and the love he has for his fans can be felt strongly. In case the fans are saddened by his statement, he added the sincere explanation in why he is okay with not receiving gifts from the fans anymore. His message reads:

"Cough! Cough! My EXO-L who is the strongest in the galaxy~

It's been a long time since I greeted thee~ This is Xiumin from EXO~ hahaha;;

 

Sorry… I was trying too hard to greet you all in a unique way…;;

(I'm not a weirdo.)

I'll think of a better greeting next time!! Lol

 

My EXO-L, are you guys doing well?

Are you curious about how I'm doing?!

I'm diligently preparing for something nowadays.

Of course, that something is for you~

Since you haven't seen me around, you must've been thinking I was just resting, right?

For those of you who thought that, I want to appeal "Absolutely NOT!"

 

You are probably always curious and frustrated about what we are doing.

Why are we not telling you?

The reason being!! …because it's not fun if we tell you in advance.

It's kind of mean saying it like this but this is all a strategy…

 

Everyone's probably aware of it already but just think of it as a childish game;;

It makes us excited when you are anticipating… lol

Anyways! 2018 will be busier than the last year!!

This might be really sudden and I'm really, really sorry to say it but I wanted to post this message

because there's a message I want to convey to you all.

All the gifts you are sending me!

I'm so grateful for every single one of them and using them well in my daily life.

 

If I had the ability, I'd receive all of them into my arms, thinking it is your sincere hearts!

But.. ah.. what do we do? There's not much place left at my house )':

If I quit beating around the bush and go straight to the point!

I'm going to accept just your love... no, I want to accept just your love.

There's not a better gift than your interest and affection for me.

Rather than materialistic gifts, I am greedy for the consistent love!!

I've been thinking of how I can say this without hurting your feelings.

After much, much pondering, I decided!

If it's EXO-L, it would be the best if I just honestly say what's in my heart.

Since the very beginning, my biggest homework is to pay EXO-L back on all the love you've shown me

and it's the harder than I thought…

Showing my best self is an obvious thing and now I just want to do well in everything I do.

Even if by small steps, I will show you my improvements!!

After the message was posted, the letter was shared to many online communities and people are praising how considerate and sweet Xiumin was towards the issue that can be received sensitively. At his heartfelt message, the fans are happily agreeing to his plead and reacted with supportive comments.
