He posted a picture of himself posing with the master on his social media account. The message reads:

"He was the greatest, loneliest human being I knew. At the same time, I didn't know him. That's my regret. He is my friend and a teacher. Even though he didn't say a word, he taught me the biggest lesson with what he had. His existence was art itself. His harmonious performance with others within the concrete walls and the space I created was the biggest honor I could have.

If you may, please embrace him and feel his presence with me as we say farewell. Tell him to rest in peace and that he won't be lonely again. Thank you. I'm sorry. I love you. Hwang Byung-ki (1936-2018)".

In this heartfelt message, you can feel Yoo Ah-in's sincerity over his words and from the picture, you can feel how much the actor respected the artist.

Hwang Byung-ki was the foremost South Korean player of the gayageum, a 12-string instrument, or zither, often with silk strings. His cause of death was stroke following complications from pneumonia. At 82, he left this world and left the world with his beautiful art and the great influence he has had on the Korean traditional music. May the master rest in peace.
