Nowadays, seven hundred thousand Google searches are made world-wide only in sixty seconds, six hundred videos are posted on YouTube, three hundred twenty Twitter accounts are newly made, and thirteen thousand iPhone applications are downloaded- thus, searching information and sharing it are done in the speed of light.

In this kind of rapid change, Korea boasts the distribution of advanced and high-end digital device and the fastest internet speed in the world, displaying the aspect of an IT power country.

Below is the data from surveying the internet speed in the world, announced by pangdom.com, a Swedish consulting company. Korea is in the first place, showing an overwhelming speed in network connection.

Like in this survey, a new generation has appeared in Korea in the environment where people can use the digital device and network along with highly fast internet connecting speed whenever and wherever. Its name is "Mobile Native"!

"Mobile Native" calls the generation from the teenagers and those in their thirties who are spending their growth phase in the middle of the era of digital revolution from 1990's, when the high-speed internet was distributed in full scale and a camera phone appeared, to 2012, when we are nearing to the number of thirty millions for smart phone distribution. They are called as 'mobile native' in the aspect that they have a free command of mobile device and language like a specific language.

The Mobile Native that have spent their growth phase while surrounded by digital such as smart phone, internet, portal site, and SNS have certain characteristics like instantaneity, triple tasking, and aggressive self-expression as they have based on all of their lives, conversations, and learning on the digital foundation.

That is that to summarize the Mobile Native in one word, it can be QUICK.

Q- Quarter: 15 minutes: the time limit for concentration

U- Uniting experience: integrated experience: reinforcement of solidarity through mobile

I- Intuition: instant response, natural acquisition of using device

C- Copy & Paste: imitation: used to spontaneous search and imitation

K-Wave: Leading the K-Wave: Fun videos spread to the entire world.

Since the direction of the "Mobile Native" that occupies 26.4% of the entire population has a close relation with that of the Korean industry afterwards, so it is becoming an imminent interest.

As it is explained above, the Mobile Native shows all the characteristics of QUICK and plays a more important role in introducing Korea.

Now in the 2010's the world is becoming smarter and smarter.

Products with diverse and unique designs become smarter like human and let us have communication that is faster and wider. As I see teenagers around us that play with smart phone like a toy, let us pay more attention to a future change of the Mobile Native.

I anticipate as to how the Mobile Native would change Korea in future! Also, I am curious that what generation would emerge in Korea's environment of various digital devices and internet that develop day after day.
