Another Korean movie industry hit. The story, the plot, the action is terrific and this is an incredibly well made movie. The threats, the backstabbing, the corruption in government is all there. The story starts with a North Korean special operative that is turned on by the North and escapes to the South. At first it is difficult to understand why the North turned on him, but then the story reveals that his family was in Hong King ready to defect. A lot of special operatives going after each other both north and south along with not knowing who to trust in the South Korean National Intelligence & Security Service.

A man betrayed by both North and South Korean governments, our protagonist seeks to find those who killed his family and enact retributive justice upon the guilty, and lets nothing get in his way. Another stunning achievement by a Korean filmmaker. I thought of comparing it to the "avenging angel" theme of "High Plains Drifter, but this work stands completely on its own...deservedly so. Puts to shame Hollywood these past few decades. Highly recommend.
