[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Han Hye-jin and Yoon Sang-hyun Considering "Let's Watch the Sunset"

Well, this will certainly be one powerful pairing if it happens, and with the flood of articles practically drooling over the potential, it better. Han Hye-jin had previously been announced as a yes-maybe for the drama, but now she and Yoon Sang-hyun are still reported as considering for the role of a couple facing death and the rediscovery of their relationship.

I'm already noping out of the premise on a personal level, as my poor Ori-heart cannot handle tragic romances, but the idea of reconnecting to a loved one is interesting. It seems like a lot of dramas focus on the rekindling of relationships lately and I don't know if it's just another drama trend or something talked about a lot in South Korean society as of late. Perhaps it's also encouraged by funding and opportunities, especially on public stations, due to the marriage rate in South Korea.

Whatever the case, the drama tackles the declining relationship of a long-lasting couple and their change in priorities when death comes knocking. Han Hye-jin is set to play Nam Hyeon-joo, a woman who does everything for her husband, including sacrificing her own dreams. Said husband offered to Yoon Sang-hyun, Kim  Do-young, is a genius architect whose defiance for orders made him struggle to build a profitable business, which he did with the help of his wife. He is surprised to see her ask for a divorce, and his first love reappears at the same time. As if marital problems and death weren't enough of a party crasher.

"Let's Watch the Sunset" will be airing on MBC sometime in March.
