[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Jin Yi-han and Yang Jin-Sung For "Cross"

After the confirmation of Jeon So-min as the drama's heroine and the previously confirmed role for Yang Jin-sung, "Cross" adds Jin Yi-han to the mix along with character information on his and Yang Jin-sung's characters. Get ready for some spoiled rich kids, because Dramaland.

Jin Yi-han plays Lee Joo-hyuk, an organ transplant specialist who is cold underneath his "perfect man" public persona. The standard Dramaland "genius" with a fancy background as the son of the hospital's head hides his true feelings, but apparently not his rivalry with Kang In-gyu, played by Go Kyung-pyo. Yang Jin-sung is Son Yeon-hee, a maternity specialist with strong maternal instincts and a fancy background of her own as the only child of the hospital's CEO. Her life changes drastically due to the aforementioned protagonist.

"Cross" is a series I would normally be interested in, but with writer Choi Min-seok and PD Sin Yong-hwi not having done particularly impressive work, and with the cast not being to my liking much, I don't know what to make of it yet. I also don't feel comfortable with Cho Jae-hyun after the Kim Ki-duk assault case and the conditions of the actor's participation in the incident, if the descriptions of Korean news pieces are accurate, so I have mixed personal feelings about the work in general.

While I will be sitting this one out, I wish the production and its viewers good luck. May it be solid revenge-y goodness with a fun story, a lot of suspense and good performances.
