[Orion's Daily Ramblings] Noh Hee-kyeong's "Live" Holds First Script Reading

We've enjoyed all manner of crime related content from Dramaland during the last few years, but "Live" brings us with it a new and less explored approach. The series is about the daily struggles and successes of a small police precinct and its staff of diverse individuals and their relationships.

The series stars Jung Yu-mi, Lee Kwang-soo, Bae Sung-woo, Bae Jong-ok, Lee Soon-jae, Jang Hyun-sung, Shin Dong-wook, Sung Dong-il and others. PD Kim Kyoo-tae has previously collaborated with writer Noh Hee-kyeong on dramas "Padam Padam... The Sound of His and Her Heartbeats", "That Winter, the Wind Blows" and "It's Okay, That's Love", so I expect the two to have built quite the working relationship by now.

I really like the premise to this series, because one of things I most enjoy in works like, say, "Queen of Mystery" is that feeling of normalcy in its law enforcement. Sure, that one had serial killers and the like, but it also tackled more everyday problems, albeit in an exaggerated way. What little I have experienced of Noh Hee-kyeong gives me faith in the approach that "Live" has toward its subject matter.

"Live" will begin filming this month and it aims for a March 2018 release, so we still have a long way and hopefully a lot of promotional goodies to go.
