[Orion's Daily Ramblings] The Ladies and Gents of "Shall We Kiss First"

It is time for the lovely cast of "Shall We Kiss First" to get a little love in the spotlight, and my first observation is that it feels so good to see "older" actors in said spotlight. My second thought is that we live in a society of such raging ageism, that people in their 40s and their romances are seen as "older" people and "mature romances".

Ageism aside, the cast of "Shall We Kiss First" is really reigning supreme in these stills, and we get a little bit of character information on them as well. Kam Woo-sung's Son Moo-han is the eternal loner, a man who is charming, but lonely an angsty. His lady-to-be, Ahn Soon-jin (Kim Sun-a) is a flight attendant living in poverty due to her ex-husband's debt, but she doesn't let it drag her down.

Leading the supporting gent side is Oh Ji-ho as Eun Kyeong-soo. Kyeong-soo is the aforementioned ex-husband currently married to Baek Ji-min (Park Si-yeon). He is an eccentric character, but he is described as someone you cannot help but love. I'm not sure what part of dumping debt on your ex is lovable, but perhaps he atones in some way. Joining him is Hwang In-woo (Kim Sung-soo), the lady killer of the drama.

On the supporting lady side we have Ji-min and Lee Mi-ra (Ye Ji-won). Ji-min is also a flight attendant, and while she has a sophisticated and attractive image, she is weak when it comes to her husband. Mi-ra is Soon-jin's best friend and In-woo's wife. She is fashionable, straightforward and expected to be a character women viewers will like.

I can't say I like the sound of some of these, but the cast is one that has many a beloved role and work behind it, and I can definitely see these actors rocking their respective roles. May the ladies and gents in front of and behind the camera of "Shall We Kiss First" deliver an enjoyable series.
