Filming of "Pacemaker", Kim Myung-min's new movie, kicked off at 9 a.m. on April 11 in Daegu. The first scene was shot at a cemetery where brothers Joo Man Ho (Kim Myung-min) and Joo Song Ho (Choi Jae-woong) with his wife were visiting the grave of their parents.

The brothers lost their parents when Man-Ho was a teenager. Since then, Man-Ho served as both father and mother to Song-Ho, who was barely 10 years old at that time. The brothers struggled and lived a poor and simple life on their own. A funny incident that happened one day eventually paved the way for Man-Ho to become a runner.

Meanwhile, the "Pacemaker" team will film in Daegu until Thursday, April 14. They will move on to Cheongju on Friday, April 15.

"Pacemaker" is an inspiring story about Man-Ho, a legendary retired Olympic runner who makes a comeback after 10 years to pace for a young, genius marathoner, Min Yun Ki (Choi Tae-joon) at the Olympics. The movie also stars veteran actor Ahn Sung-ki as Park Seong Il, the national marathon team director, and Korean actress, Go Ara as the beautiful and arrogant pole vaulter, Yoo Ji Won.

The movie marks the big screen directorial debut of musical director Kim Dal-joong. The movie aims to finish filming by July for a Chuseok release.
