Song Seung-heon contributes 200 million Won to Salvation Army to help Japan

Hallyu star Song Seung-heon participated in helping the Japanese earthquake victims by contributing.

Song Seung-heon contributed 200 million won (~$US200,000) to the Salvation Army last 14th.

The Salvation Army commander Park Man-hee conveyed his appreciation saying, "Song Seung-heon had been meaning to make a contribution to Japan so when he heard news about the Salvation Army donations for the first time in 83 years, he contacted us and made the contribution. His true heart and worrying about helping the Japanese was passed on as he personally deposited the money to the Japan Emergency Donation account".

Through the Salvation Army, Song Seung-heon said, "With the Salvation Army donation, I hope this comforts the Japanese and be of some help. I hope my donation causes a wave of donations and participate in the Salvation Army donations that's going on throughout March".

Meanwhile, on the 11th an earthquake the scale of 9.0 hit Miyagi, northeast of Tokyo, Japan, causing buildings to shake for several minutes in nearby city Tokyo and citizens to evacuate to a safer location.

There have been many injuries and deaths after the earthquake and radiation exposure has also occurred with the nuclear plant as an effect of the earthquake.
