The fourth episode of the KBS 2TV weekend drama "House of Bluebird" showed Kang Jae-cheol (Jung Won-joong) not being able to retire even after he was pressured to.

Bank branch manager Kang Jae-cheol was asked to retire after 27 years of loyal commitment. The president of the bank deliberately ignored Kang Jae-cheol who in the end, couldn't stand the pressure and wrote out his retirement letter. This was only possible because he had a daughter who was a school teacher and a wife who was preparing for their retirement by buying a house.

However, the day Kang announced his retirement, his daughter had quit her job and things became complicated. Kang Yeong-joo had become a school teacher under her mom's pressure and said, "I knew from the beginning that being a school teacher wasn't for me. I tried to hold it out, but I can't do it anymore". She returned home with her hair dyed red and because his wife Oh Min-ja was busy arguing with their daughter, Kang Jae-cheol lost the timing to tell them about his retirement.

Kang Yeong-joo tried to leave the house ad Oh Min-ja met with the vice principal and decided to make it look like a substitution leave. Only after buying three months time for her daughter, Oh Min-ja told Kang Jae-cheol, I thought my daughter and the house was going to be treasure but their just headaches. I don't think the hosue is going to work. Who's going to come live in a house in the middle of nowhere?"

With his plans messed up, Kang Jae-cheol spoke to his daughter who decided to become a writer despite the risk. "Can't you write your script while you work at the school? Can you give me some time?" But she was set on becoming a writer and Kang Jae-cheol decided to reverse his decision to retire.

Kang Jae-cheol asked for his letter back to 'fix' something and ripped it apart as soon as he had it in his hands. He begged, "I know they're pressuring me to leave, but I need to work. Save me. I have to work. My family will be ruined if I retire now".

The episode was drawn funnily but also reflected on the reality of breadwinners today.
