On the second episode of the KBS 2TV drama "Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth", Mak-moon (Lee Kwang-soo) died tragically after being attacked by a stranger.
Mak-moon continued to look for his sister Aro (Go Ara) with Moo-myeong (Park Seo-joon), his best friend.
They hurried their way at night but Moo-myeong was hurt from a fight with the aristocrats earlier and collapsed.
To make things worse, a stranger appeared and attacked them. Mak-moon was stabbed and he collapsed, too. However, Mak-moon struggled till the end to protect Moo-myeong.
He smeared his blood on Moo-myeong's mouth so that it looked like he was already dead. The stranger didn't notice.
Mak-moon said, "You have to live" and died.
Moo-myeong was shocked and cried out loud. He cried, "You are my parent and my brother. You are a part of me. If you die, I die too! Wake up!"
Lee Kwang-soo only appeared for two episodes but he did an outstanding performance.
Meanwhile, Moo-myeong set out alone to find out who killed Mak-moon. He thought Sam Mak-jong (Park Hyung-sik) killed him and followed him. They finally met at the end of the episode.
