Seon-woo saved Aro from danger. Aro held him tight and cried, "I thought I was going to die". Sam Maek-jong (Park Hyung-sik) watched this bitterly.

Aro then visited Seon-woo in his room to make him such chicken soup and ran into Seon-woo who was getting dressed. Aro saw him topless and stammered. Then she offered to sew his shirt. Seon-woo watched her from afar.

Aro took the shirt back to him at night when he was sleeping. She said, "You won't hear me but thank you for what you did, for saving me. I have nowhere to lean on, but this time I felt different. I feel like I can rely on you. I am glad I have a brother. I am scared and I wonder if it's right for me to feel like this".

Seon-woo was pretending to be asleep. He woke up and held her hand saying, "I am worried I might hurt you. You can lean on me now".

Sam Maek-jong also expressed his feelings for Aro. He accidentally ripped the clothes of another Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth and saved Aro when she was in danger. Sam Maek-jong drew a promissory note in the shape of a half-moon when Aro said she'd make it up to him.
