Lee Jung-shin passed the test with flying colors as he pulled off the emotional scenes perfectly. Lee Jung-shin is from the boy band CNBlue and he started off his path much later than the other members. He started off with the KBS weekend drama "My Daughter Seo-yeong" but he didn't get the spotlight. He finally came through with the special drama "Thank You My Son".

The two-episode drama on the 11th and 12th told the story of young people who struggle to make it through the college entrance tests through Jae-woo (Ahn Jae-min) and Si-woo (Lee Jung-shin). They collide with their parents who want them to join elite universities and show lack of communication between parents and children.

On the 12th, Si-woo got caught for lying to his parents about his mock test for a year. His mother Eun-hee (Lee Ah-hyun) went to his academy and found out he hadn't had a mock test for a while. She felt even more betrayed because he had always brought her back good grades. She fainted and fought with her husband Hyeong-joon (Choi Jin-ho) back at home.

Si-woo tries to kill himself but fails, then feels miserable. Jae-woo goes to the pension where Si-woo is staying by himself to comfort him as he cried about how he had to lie to his parents because they treated him like he was nothing.

This scene brought out the emotional side of Lee Jung-shin and delivered a message to the public.

Jae-woo and Si-woo walked the Jirisan path and talked about their conflicts with their parents. They are having a good time talking until Jae-woo says, "Be thankful to your parents who have bought you the best teachers and the best dormitory". Si-woo lost temper and said, "My parents only care about my grades". Lee Jung-shin handled the situation well.

Lee Jung-shin has never been in the spotlight until now. There are many people who don't even know Lee Jung-shin has been acting. However, anticipation for him is rising as he's showing a great performance in his first leading role in a drama.
