As Kim Ga-hee realized Seonjo had noticed she was in love with Gwang Hae (Seo In-guk), she put poison in Seonjo's tea. She also put poison in her tea as well and drank the tea. She made the decision as Seonjo was going to accuse Gwang Hae for treason falsely and expel Gwang Hae from palace.

Kim Ga-hee said, "I kept my promise I'd help you sit on the throne. I'm following king Seonjo. I know I cannot pay for what I have done just by killing myself. Now please forget everything about me and open up a new world for the people".

"The King's Face" is a fictional period drama that depicts the life of Gwang Hae, a crowned prince born to a concubine, who struggled through dethronement and death threats for 16 years and finally became a king, taking advantage of face reading as own weapon.
