The Seoul Animation Center to support The 12th Bradford Animation Festival display

As part of its support projects for domestic animation works, which wish to take part in oversea animation festivals, as well as with the view of developing domestic creation animation and strengthening international competitiveness, The Seoul Animation Center supports domestic animations that want to submit for The 12th Bradford Animation Festival, scheduled to be held in England on 16th-19th November 2005.

By providing domestic animation production firms as well as animation writers with an opportunity to challenge to the competitions of oversea prominent festivals, this support project was planned to prepare a momentum to acquaint the world with the excellence of domestic creation animation.

The deadline for making application is by July 4 and more information is available at the business team of the Center through (82-2)3455-8372.

BAF is the UK's biggest and best-loved annual animation festival. Host to masterclasses, seminars, workshops, screenings and special events led by some of the animation industry's top names, the festival's high point is the annual BAF Awards, which celebrate the very best in new animation from around the world. BAF is a project of the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television.

For reference, The following BAF's Competition categories are available for submission to the competition this year:

Non-professional: Films made by animators / animation teams whose primary source of income is not animation, or who are training to become animators. Students in further and higher education are eligible.

Professional: Only suitable for animators / animation teams whose primary source of income is animation. Entrants to the Professional category should include a CV with their submission which details professional experience.

Promotional / commercial: Designed specifically for films made to sell products - for instance, the advertising or music industries.

TV series: Designed for single episodes of series made for television.

Films for children: Films made specifically for a target audience of people under 16, whether as a 'special' for television or designed specifically for theatrical release.

Web animation: All films designed to be viewed and/or distributed via the internet, by both professional and non-professional animators.
