"Wonderland" is the latest film from director Kim Tae-yong, who is perhaps best known for "Late Autumn - 2010" which also stars his present day wife Tang Wei. "Wonderland" is her first collaboration with her husband since then, though the Chinese actress also had a leading role in "Decision to Leave" from director Park Chan-wook in 2022. "Wonderland" depicts a virtual world with artificial intelligences who emulate the lost loved ones of the story's human characters.
