MBC TV's Friday-Saturday drama "Motel California" is about Ji Kang-hee who was born and raised in a motel in the countryside, reuniting with her first love Cheon Yeon-soo (Na In-woo) in her hometown where she ran away 12 years ago. Attention is focusing on whether Lee Se-young will continue the success story of MBC's drama following "The Red Sleeve" (2021) and "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract" (2023). Na In-woo is starring in the last drama to be released before he joins the military. He will drop out of KBS 2TV's "2 Days & 1 Night" season 4 and focus on acting.

Kang-hee is the greatest nosybody. She is a mixed-race girl who has grown up amid people's murmurings and has internal wounds. She loved her friend Yeon-soo, but on the day she turned twenty, she recklessly came to Seoul as an interior designer. As soon as she tries to peak her career, she has no choice but to return to Motel California. Yeon-soo is a veterinarian and has loved only one woman all his life. He leaves rumors that he is about to marry a co-worker to avoid the anger of farm owners who visit her day and night, which leads to Kang-hee to misunderstand.

"Motel California" is based on Shim Yoon-seo's novel "Home, Bitter Home" (2019). It will be directed by Lee Seo-yun of "365: Repeat the Year" (2020) and Jang Joon-ho of "The Game: Towards Zero" (2020) and Kim Hyung-min-IV of "Love Scene Number" (2021). Broadcasting will be made in the first half of next year.
