TVING original series "Monstrous" which will broadcast for the first time in April, released the first teaser poster on the 28th.

"Monstrous" is a supernatural thriller that pursues the strange events that occur in a village and the villagers who see hell in their hearts when a cursed Buddha statue appears. The process of tracking the chaos, fear and bizarre curses of those who have been swept away by disaster provides suspense that penetrates to the bone.

The first teaser poster released marks the beginning of a strange force. The huge precious Buddha, which was sleeping deep in the ground, creates a strange and chilling atmosphere just with its presence. The phrase 'should not have been found' above archaeologist Jeong Gi-hoon, who faces the strange power, makes us even more curious about the identity of the noble Buddha.

"Monstrous" adds to expectations in that it expands the worldview of Yeon Sang-ho's universe above all else. Writer Yeon Sang-ho shows unlimited imagination, ranging from the films "Seoul Station", "Train to Busan", and "Peninsula", which caused sensations last year, to the Korean occult genre with shamanism and the tvN drama "The Cursed" which expanded the appearance of the genre.

On top of that, writer Ryoo Yong-jae, who wrote "Money Heist: Korea - Joint Economic Area" adds strength and director Jang Kun-jae, who won the Busan Film Critics Association Award and the best drama award at the Asian Film Festival, grabs the megaphone.

Koo Kyo-hwan plays Jeong Gi-hoon, an archaeologist who studies strange supernatural phenomena. He runs the occult magazine and YouTube channel "Monthly Ghost Stories" and faces an unbelievable phenomenon while investigating the precious Buddha found in Jinyang-gun. Shin Hyun-been plays Lee Soo-jin, a genius pattern decoder who faces a terrible disaster. Kim Ji-young and Park Ho-san turn into Han Seok-hee, the police chief with extraordinary charisma and Kwon Jong-soo, the governor of Jinyang-gun, where disaster happens. Kwak Dong-yeon plays the role of Kwak Yong-joo, a trouble maker in Jinyang-gun and Nam Da-reum plays Han Do-kyeong, who does not lose his good will in the midst of confusion.

The production team of "Monstrous" begins when a long-sealed precious Buddha wakes up in a peaceful village. Writer Yeon Sang-ho's unlimited imagination will create another original worldview.
